About Institute

The institute is committed to the challenging task of development of technical education by preparing Diploma Engineer in the discipline of Mechanical engineering and Electronics & Tele Communication Engineering. Development of India as an emerging industrial power is a demanding exercise as it involves the combination of cost effectiveness and efficiency along with producing world-class technology at the cutting edge. For about two decades we have been doing it with sincerity and commitment at Government Polytechnic Takhatpur. At present the institute run with three year Diploma in Engineering course in the branch of

(1) Mechanical with intake admission capacity of 20 students and
(2) Electronics & Tele Communication with intake admission capacity of 20 students.

Government Polytechnic Takhatpur is established and started in year 1998. Government Polytechnic Takhatpur is approved by AICTE NEW DELHI and affiliated with the CHHATTISGARH SWAMI VIVEKANAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY BHILAI (C.G.). Government Polytechnic Takhatpur is situated at 25 KM from BILASPUR in Mungli – Mandala road. Nearest railway station is Bilaspur at 35 KM away and nearest airport is Raipur at 130 KM away.
